The Swiss Art Fair for international contemporary Art focussed on outer-Europe

The 7th International Art Fair Zurich presents at a larger scale a selection of actual positions of contemporary art. This year’s main focus is based for the second time on visual art from outer Europe.
Important galleries from South America will exhibit in Zurich: Praxis International Art (Buenos Aires, New York, Miami, Mexico City, Lima), Pictorial Bardon Group (Buenos Aires), Matthei (Santiago de Chile), EdeA Art Gallery (Buenos Aires, Lissabon), Artguion (Buenos Aires), Viota Gallery (Puerto Rico), and as Newcomer B.D.M. (Sao Paolo) and Hatman Artspace (Miami) with artists from Latin America.
South Korean contemporary art scene will be present again for its 5th time. Among others Minjoo Lee and Jung Galleries from Seoul. A special presentation with 16 Korean Artists "Cross-currents" will be curated by Gallery Jay from Jeju, Korea.
Japan is present with Span Art Gallery from Tokyo. Russian contemporary avantgardistic art is shown by the St. Petersburg based Art Stein Gallery and Danusha Fine Arts London. Lumas Edition and Gallery from Berlin is present with its special show "Photography without Camera". Gallery Bohemica (Hannover) presents czech artists of contemporary realisme painting and figurative sculpture.
In the section "Tendencies in Art and Design" visitors will see paintings, sculptures, photographies and design objects from Japan, Korea, Canada, India, Argentina, Russia, Georgia, Ireland, England, Sweden, Greece, Portugal, Hungary, France, Italy, Austria, Germany, Switzerland, USA and other countries.
After the last year's attraction, the Neon-Installation by Roland Ammann, this year the british painter and conceptual artist Andrew Painter will present his "Socks Installation" at the front of Zurich' Congressional Center. This installation has been already shown with great success in Paris.
ART INTERNATIONAL ZURICH shows modern art of diverse styles in a central city location to a broad public. Since the beginning in 1999 ART INTERNATIONAL shows a permanent upward trend and an increasing number of visitors in a time, where many fairs are declining or closing. The annual fair is located in the prestigious business district close to the famous Bahnhofstrasse and in walking distance to the major galleries and museums and aims to promote communication, sales and contact between the exhibitors and the business, media, collectors and the public.
